We thought this would be a fun way to post updates on Olivia and Madi's ever-changing world for family & friends to see!
About Me
- Kristy and Brian
- Brian & I met online in 2000 and married in June 2003. Olivia was born April 14th, 2006, a week before due date! She has blessed us in so many ways. She had an AVM bleed in her brain at 5 mo. and had emergency surgery to remove it. She's been through 4 surgeries total, all by age 5. Oct. 6, 2006 was the date of the AVM bleed and she endured PT, OT, and Speech Therapy through Early Intervention Services until age 3. Now, only OT once/wk and an IEP through school w/sped ed, OT and Speech. Madison was born 6.29.09 and is growing up too fast, talking up a storm, potty training and enjoying time with her family and friends at daycare and church. Her cute little personality blossoms more every day. :) The girls are best friends and get along really well about 99% of the time.

Hiccups
The only thing I've felt in the last week is Madison's hiccups!!! She does still move around in there, but no feelings of contractions or anything like that, yet. I refuse to drink castor oil or powerwalk in 90 degree weather, so I'm just waiting....and waiting...and waiting! :-)

What due date?

Brian's half brother, Ryan, graduated from high school this year!!! Congrats Ry! In this pic are Nana Donna and Grandma Jennie, too.

Butterfly came to play with Olivia :) HI GRANDMA QUINN!!! <3

Pool party at Cedar Point--Olivia is not afraid of the water at all! Jumping in was so fun!

New bangs!

About to my due date!

I now know what it feels like to be pregnant PASSED my due date! I've been anxious for labor for the past 2 weeks or so, so I'm just hanging in there and trying to be patient! My 40 week appointment on Tuesday went well-I'm between 1 & 2 cm now and still 50% effaced. During the exam, my membranes were "stripped a little" to help the progression, hopefully. I'm not uncomfortable and still sleep pretty good at night so I'm just waiting it out now. I do have an appointment to be induced Monday the 29th if I don't go into labor before that, of course! Yesterday was my last day of work so I'm at home relaxing now. Brian's going to work until I need him and Angie agreed to take Olivia to daycare in the mornings until something happens. I'm going to keep her in there for a few weeks after Madison gets here, then only take her 2 days a week for awhile so she can spend some time with Madison and me before I go back to work on August 10th. Will keep everyone updated as soon as we can once baby comes! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers during this exciting and blessed time in the Call family!

38 weeks & Baby shower few wks ago

pregnancy is still going well...few braxton hicks every now and then, but just taking it one day at a time! Go back to the doctor next Tuesday to get checked again...this week I was less than 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. So it's getting close, but I don't think it'll happen in the next few days or anything like that.
Baby shower was a couple weekends ago and thanks to Mom and Angie, it was wonderful! I'm appreciative of every diaper and other gift my friends felt compelled to give! thanks again!

37 weeks
Appointment today went well, again, I'm measuring good, blood pressure good, her Heartbeat is fine and still showing head down and LOW, so she's getting into position :) I'm feeling huge now and pressure when walk too much or sit too long. It won't be long until Madison is here!
Olivia is doing well, however is now on meds for sinus drainage/bronchitus, as is her daddy. Monday, after going to the doctor, she had to be picked up from daycare b/c had fever and no appetite. She was much better today, though.
Friday we see Dr. Brown (every 3 months) and in 2 weeks we see Dr. Apfel (neurosurgeon followup). Olivia has been wearing a new foot brace since the end of April that Dr. Brown will look at and probably encourage us to do the botox again. Dr. Apfel is keeping an eye on the bone growing back together in Liv's head. We'll see what she has to say, however, I think the gaps are getting bigger. We want to give it as much time as possible though and not rush into another surgery to repair the "bone defect". Brian and I don't want to put her through another one this fast.
