Our new house is wonderful. Olivia is now 7 and Madi 4. Unbelievable!
Updates on Olivia's progress--she is in 2nd grade at her new school and doing great. Many concepts are difficult for her to grasp, however, and she's behind in reading for her grade level. We have a tutor that she's sees an hour per week since October. At school, her IEP includes ST, OT, reading/math help, special ed services in the regular classroom. Also, privately, has Speech twice a month and has made some progress there. She sees OT once every 3 months, but I may switch providers soon. She sees a pediatric developmental doctor at UVA Kluge Childrens Rehab Clinic, who monitors her ADHD meds and now sleeping meds. Also sees a orthopedist while still wearing the AFO. We take her up there every 6 months. I've made her an appointment for an eye exam to check things out, but that's not until May.
Madi Lou Who is excelling in pre-K and we're so proud! She is the most independent and boldest child I've ever seen. Fashion, coloring, tablet play, eating, playing, etc. but she can be so sweet, too. We found out that she gets motion sickness (on our 7 hr trip to Ohio and back before Christmas!) so that's an issue we'll have to deal with almost daily!
We're planning our beach trip for the summer now and it's so exciting! OBX here we come. Till next time!
