Trampoline was gift from Nana and Papa H--very good jumping practice! :)

Blue Ridge Kite Festival last Saturday, Olivia flew an Elmo kite and had a great time!

With friends at the Kroger tent!
Worn out!
Eating ice cream cake on her birthday!

Olivia and I had a wonderful day at home Wed, on my birthday holiday. Her 3 yr checkup went great, she's 28 lbs and about 38 inches tall! We had a little "bathroom incident" while waiting for the pediatrician, but it's all good now. She said she may have a stomache bug and we are to cut out dairy for a few days (hard to digest).
I picked Olivia up early today to take her downtown to therapy for the first time at their office. Miss Linda (OT) who is subbing for Cynthia on maternity leave, was awesome with Olivia! Love her. Nancy met with us and will follow up next month with me and talk about what to do next with therapy. The OT is our focus now, though. Monday, we go get Liv's new AFO brace for her foot since she outgrew the old one, yay! But she's been doing fine without one the last few weeks. Nancy was impressed today with Liv's gait pattern and balance w/o the brace. They did lots of things like swinging, climbing up and down ladders and stairs, excersize balls, puzzles, etc. We are to keep the AFO on during the days at daycare and off in the evenings and some on weekends-it's good to walk on different surfaces without the brace, too.

April already?

olivia's birthday party was fabulous and the little princess is now three years young! nana g and ryan came in from ohio Easter weekend and were able to come to the party, too, which was nice! thanks to all for the super nice gifts.

The week before her birthday, her daycare had their Easter program and olivia's class did great! The pic with the white/pink dress on was that night.

now that she's three, we are not going to do the speech therapy anymore and cut back on physical. PT will only see her about every 3 months to evaluate her progress and check on her foot brace. The occupational therapy will continue every week, but now we have to take her to their office downtown. she's doing well with that and we've started working with constraint therapy about 5 minutes every night the last week.

Week 28

4D sonogram went good-baby is healthy, just won't show her face that much...went again today to do the 3 hour glucose test (passed with flying colors!!!) and had another 4D done. I was tired afterward, like she said I would be...but I ate lunch and headed to Wally World to pick up a few things anyway.

Olivia has taken a big liking to a Minnie Mouse necklace that her aunt Angie bought her in Disneyworld last year. She wears it night and day :) We went to MyGym tonight for her freeplay class this week and she made a friend, her name is Cindy. Very cute little girl, about to turn 4 in May-talked our ears off, too! She had scars on her neck and chest from being burned at just a few months old, her dad said. She pulled a tablecloth down that had hot tea on it! :( Poor baby! But she looked good and was the friendlies little girl! It was fun because it wasn't crowded at all tonight.

Take care everybody, less than two weeks until our little baby girl turns the big THREE! YAY! Oh, and on Thursday, the 9th, her daycare has an Easter program that starts at 7pm, for those that want to attend!

Week 27...

Of pregnancy is going well! I'm still coughing a little, but mostly over the sinus issues. Went to dentist today to get a filling, but he thinks the pressure I'm feeling is from the sinus problems I'm still getting over, so no filling today. I'd rather wait until after baby, anyway. Olivia is over it all, I do believe, so that is good news.

Tomorrow is the big day for the 4D ultrasound~we're gonna see our baby girl #2's face! So excited about this!

Update on Olivia's toddler bed issue--since January, Brian had been sitting with her in her room until she fell asleep. He did this for over a month. Good daddy. :) But another milestone, about 2-3 weeks ago, Olivia asked her dad not to turn on the lullaby music in her room and to leave her door open. It took a few nights of walking her back to her bed a handful of time, but NOW she falls asleep on her own! It's a big relief to have that out of the way before June. However, when she has to adjust to the new baby, well, we'll deal with that when the time comes! :)

Olivia is really coming along with speech now, she carries on conversations with us all the time (and her baby dolls!). It's great to see her using 3 & 4 word phrases, like her therapist wants her to. Well, until next time....

This week...

Well, I finally went to the doc last Friday and started treating the symptoms of post-nasal drainage...fun fun! Monday they called in an antibiotic since nothing was helping, and TODAY I'm finally feeling like I'm starting to get over it! And Olivia has the same thing, had it since the beach trip, so Brian was able to get off work to take her to her pediatrician Tuesday. Slight ear infection so she was prescribed the same antibiotic I'm taking. Then Wednesday she had a temp of 101 at daycare so all day and last night we gave her tylenol and kept her home today. Hopefully it's just from the infection and nothing else, since there are so many stomache bugs going around.

On the brighter side, miss Olivia has a birthday coming up in less than a month now!!! Wow, three!

Myrtle Beach 09!

We couldn't have picked a nicer weekend to go down there! It was great! Olivia enjoyed the indoor pools, playing in the sand, and our few excursions out to eat and shop. We all had a wonderful last vacation of three that we'll remember forever.
