We thought this would be a fun way to post updates on Olivia and Madi's ever-changing world for family & friends to see!
About Me
- Kristy and Brian
- Brian & I met online in 2000 and married in June 2003. Olivia was born April 14th, 2006, a week before due date! She has blessed us in so many ways. She had an AVM bleed in her brain at 5 mo. and had emergency surgery to remove it. She's been through 4 surgeries total, all by age 5. Oct. 6, 2006 was the date of the AVM bleed and she endured PT, OT, and Speech Therapy through Early Intervention Services until age 3. Now, only OT once/wk and an IEP through school w/sped ed, OT and Speech. Madison was born 6.29.09 and is growing up too fast, talking up a storm, potty training and enjoying time with her family and friends at daycare and church. Her cute little personality blossoms more every day. :) The girls are best friends and get along really well about 99% of the time.

my sick girls
Olivia is on amoxicillin as of Thurs. and her cough and runny nose is getting better. She had swollen glands and fluid behind both ears. Madison is another story, she's had a fever since Wednesday, although it has come down to between 100 and 101.7 in the last 24-48 hrs. We had her back at the doctors' office this morning because she seems to be very uncomfortable when you move her or pick her up, even hard to get a burp. The blood and urine tests came back negative so we're just waiting it out...she has some sort of virus and has vomited a couple times since yesterday morning. She's still eating, just not as much as normal, and has wet diapers so they are good things. Will keep updated...

Maddie

On the 9th, Madison weighed 7 lb 13oz, and she's probably 9 lb now, I'd guess! She still eats very well and we're starting to give her bottles of formula once or twice a day to give me a break.
Olivia has been doing wonderful around her little sis...she helps me with diapers, burpcloths, and really genuinely shows that she loves her so much. It's adorable!

home and happy

Things are going good, just a little sleep deprived! :) Madison is a great eater and keeps me awake most of the night! I'm trying to take naps during the day when she does so I can keep my eyes awake during feedings! She is a total doll baby and seems to really love her new home here in the big world she was born into a week ago yesterday. We are on cloud 9 and just enjoying time with our new bundle of joy.
Her weight check upon leaving the hospital July 1st was 6 lb 15 oz, then two days later was 7 lbs even. We go again on Thursday the 9th to make sure she's still gaining.

Hiccups
The only thing I've felt in the last week is Madison's hiccups!!! She does still move around in there, but no feelings of contractions or anything like that, yet. I refuse to drink castor oil or powerwalk in 90 degree weather, so I'm just waiting....and waiting...and waiting! :-)
